About me

Art photographer and image strategist

At the intersection of art and strategy, a common mission: to capture authenticity and give meaning to images.

Biography

Italian-born Valentina Benigni has been living in France since 2018, combining two worlds: art photography and corporate photography with a strong strategic dimension.
With a Master’s degree in Business and former executive experience in international consulting in strategy and digital innovation, she now puts this experience to work in visual creation and photographic storytelling.

Her approach is based on a conviction: images are a language capable of conveying emotions, values, and identity—whether in a work of art or corporate communications.
She helps companies enhance their brand image in a sensitive and consistent manner by combining photography, artistic direction, and the promotion of works of art within professional spaces.

At the same time, as an artist, her limited edition art prints are exhibited and awarded internationally. Her project “Vulnerability dancing to the rhythm of flamenco” is regularly exhibited in France and abroad.
In 2022, she self-published her first art book featuring a selection of these flamenco photographs, LUZ FLAMENCA.

After 30 exhibitions in four years in Europe, the United States (New York, Miami), and Asia (Beijing, Dubai), Valentina’s art photographs continue to be exhibited and collected around the world.

Thanks also to prestigious international competitions (nearly 100 in three years), Valentina quickly gained recognition as an emerging international artist.

This dual expertise—strategic and artistic—enables her to offer a comprehensive vision of the image: aesthetic, intelligent, and meaningful.

Photographic approach

Her photographic approach takes the literal meaning of the word “photography” – writing with light – and develops into “painting with light”.

Despite technological advancement, she’s true to the purist approach to photography technique: 3 parameters to be changed manually, her creativity remains in the moment of photo-shoot and not later on the computer.

She likes to transcribe movement and bring emotions to life, going beyond the very principle of photography as a static frame: the idea is for that moment to be unique and unrepeatable, not posed, but equally able to convey movement and take the viewer on a journey.

As former dancer, Valentina expertly captures the raw emotion and movement of flamenco dancers on stage, seamlessly blending photography with the elegance of dance. Valentina masterfully examines the intricate interplay of light, shadow, and movement, offering audiences a compelling and sophisticated vision.” – New York Agora Gallery review

“Valentina has a unique artistic and creative vision of photography that transforms the concept of art and photography. All with her impeccable and traditional photographic technique, which challenges digital creations and artificial intelligence, giving even more value to her artworks” – International Photo Awards critics

Valentina’s work expresses the stillness at the heart of powerful dance and, as the exhibition title alludes to, the vulnerability of the artist and the strength underlying the ability to share that vulnerability with the audience.” – New York Only Love ART blog

Dancing vulnerability at flamenco tempo

This artistic project, launched in 2020 and still ongoing, is made of photographs taken during live flamenco performances in France and Spain.

A journey that tells of the courage to express one’s own vulnerability and to dance it, to the rhythm of one’s own emotions.

Dance is a means of expression that can channel and liberate emotions, capable of expressing them unfiltered and transmitting them even to those unfamiliar with dance.

An artistic approach which, through dance and photography, aims to sensitize people to recognize their own emotions, to accept their vulnerability, to give it space and live it without barriers.

Flamenco, a traditional dance inscribed on the World Heritage List, was born in the working classes and expresses itself through improvisation, the spontaneous expression of emotions with intensity, authenticity and strength, without fear of showing one’s own vulnerability.

In a world that encourages us to wear masks to be accepted, to filter our emotions and conform, the aim is to reconnect with ourselves, to look our emotions in the face, to accept our vulnerability and make it our strength.
